On the occasion of Archivissima 25, the Festival and the Night of the Archives, the podcasts From Nazi Germany to Turin. Memoirs of an orientalist, future of an archive tells of the illustrious orientalist Paul Kahle, who fled Germany in 1938, and his important archive which, together with its library, constitutes the Kahle Fund, kept at the Library of Oriental Studies

UNight - the night of researchers is an initiative promoted and co-financed by the European Commission within the European Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020, with the aim of bringing the general public closer to the world of research and in particular to the figure of the researcher, to demonstrate that "the researcher is a normal person who does exceptional things".

Over the course of the various editions, the Humanities libraries of the University of Turin hosted readings, theatrical performances, concerts in the various locations also making use of the collaboration of teachers, students of the Germana Erba theater dance high school.

The Arturo Graf University Historical Library has participated in various editions of UNIGHT since 2015.

2024 edition

 

From 2022 the "Arturo Graf" University Historical Library and from 2024 the Oriental Studies Library will participate in "A day at University" with workshops and guided visits to the library for primary school children.

"Turin that reads" is an event that since 2015 has involved public and private bodies, public and academic libraries, independent bookstores, foundations, associations, all united in the name of reading.

It takes place in the month of April and since the first edition the Humanities libraries have participated and involved the public with guided tours, readings and theatrical performances.

"Humanities in a day - Humanistic Research is told" took place on 13 June 2018 and involved the staff of the Humanistic Libraries. The day allowed us to meet the protagonists of the research, discover the projects and stories of the doctoral students, and visit the research centers.

The Arturo Graf University Historical Library was one of the locations of the FAI days 2022 in spring, with visits reserved for FAI members.

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March 2022 there were 35 guided tours, with 859 visitors, accompanied by Fai guides, "Ciceroni students" and Library staff.
