News, a new database accessible: Art Theorists of the Italian Renaissance, new database
The Library was established in 1984 following the birth of the Department of Literary and Philological Sciences, bringing together six institutes, four from the Faculty of Letters and two from the Faculty of Teaching. The Library inherited the book holdings from the individual Institutes (Italian Studies, History of the Language, Romance Philology, Hispanics, French Studies and Modern Philology) and brought them together in a single corpus, while retaining the individual lines of research within the collection.
The move to the new headquarters in Via Bava made it possible to rethink the architecture and layout of the library, moving towards a streamlined, friendly structure that is easy and immediate to use.
The library, with free access, is organized in open shelf, with a classification system that allows the user to access the book heritage and orient themselves in complete autonomy.
The Library belongs to Department of Humanistic Studies
