DD Document Delivery
SUM Humanites libraries carry out the ILL InterLibrary Loan following the IFLA principles which encourage the sharing of resources and promote an unlimited information access (Norme IFLA) also in accordance with copyright rules.
On behalf of their users, SUM Humanites libraries can request copy of journal articles or part of monographies from other national and international libraries.
The delivery times depend on the libraries who supply the material. This service can be free if the supplying library is part of the NILDE network, or if free reciprocal arrangements have been established.
WARNING: Before applying a DD request it is necessary to check that the wanted material is not already present in our paper or digital resources, consulting the Catalogue, the journal finder Trova @Unito and the Archivio Collettivo Nazionale Periodici ACNP.
There is a personal area in the Catalogue where the user can write and send a specific DD form to one of our libraries, which will then take care of the request and where the reader will be invited to come and collect the document, since only a paper copy of it can be given, according to the copyright rules.
Hereunder are reported DD rates and modalities:
